As police fingered someone as the suspect in the murder of his wife, it stands to reason that he is not the best person to be left in charge of their kids.
Former Survivor producer Bruce Beresford-Redman is being accused by Mexican police to be involved of his wife Monica's death. They are also admitting that the case is getting uglier and uglier. As for the kids, it looks like everyone involved in this want their best, giving them all the support they need to make it through the situation with a minimum amount of trauma.
As a result, Bruce Beresford-Redman's parents, who already have temporary custody of Camilla and Alex Burgos Beresford-Redman, have moved forward in asking the court to grant them the permanent custody of their grandsons.
This is the guardianship petition:
"Monica was killed during a family trip in Mexico," they wrote in the guardianship petition. "My son and father of the children, Bruce Beresford-Redman, is assisting the Mexican authorities on matters concerning the murder. He is unable to care for the children at the moment."
"Bruce wishes us to have permanent guardianship over the children," David and Juanita Beresford-Redman added. "We are working together with Bruce to create a stable, loving and wholesome environment for the children."
"It is in the best interest of the children for us to continue guardianship over the children and for the children to continue living in the home they are accustomed."
Despite the fact that Monica's sisters also got temporary custody of the kids, there were the grandparents to get the custody instead, after Bruce requested that his parents to become temporary guardians. As for the kids' maternal parents, we have no news about so far. The only thing we know is that they live in Brazil. They made no statement regarding what happened with their daughter.
"We have known our grandchildren since birth and love them very much," Bruce's parents tell in the guardianship papers. "We have financial means to take care of the children."
"We are retired, in good health, and able to devote ourselves to the care and nurture of our grandchildren…we will be able to address questions that arise from our grandchildren and help guide them towards a happy and fruitful future despite the tragic loss of their mother."
We can only sit and wait to see how all these end…by FW Editor |
