Keith Urban's new album "Defying Gravity" is giving a fair challenge to Prince's latest release "LotusFlow3r" in the race to the chart top. According to industry estimates, in the first week, Urban's album is expected to sell around 150,000 to 160,000 copies, whereas, Prince's album may sell around 140,000 to 150,000 copies.
Prince's "LotusFlow3r" was released this Sunday and had recorded three days of sales when the prelim chart was issued yesterday. Thus, "LotusFlow3r" had a big lead over "Defying Gravity", which was released on Tuesday and only recorded its first day sales on the preliminary chart.
Previously, Keith Urban has peaked the Billboard 200 chart at #3 twice with "Be Here" (2004) and "Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Thing" (2006). Prince has topped the Billboard 200 chart for four times in the past.
