The actress who is married with the Death Cab For Cutie front man Ben Gibbard since last year managed to squeeze two trips to the island into her busy schedule last year, and is desperate to return because she hates the routine in her life.
"I hadn't been on a vacation for many years, but last year, I had the good fortune to go to Maui in Hawaii, twice. I'd like to go back there again as I'm a creature of habit," she said.
Although Zooey Deschanel is keen to jet away again, she doesn't mind living in America because she enjoys spending time both in Los Angeles and New York.
"I just adore Los Angeles. New York has great restaurants and its fun to walk around there, but I'm from Los Angeles and all of my friends are here — it's such a beautiful place," she said.
