| Twilight and Slumdog Top MTV Movie Awards Nominations |

This year's MTV Movie Awards is a head to head battle between Twilight and Slumdog Millionaire. The vampire movie received seven nominations while the Indian romantic flick got six.
Twilight is nominated for best movie, best female performance for Kristen Stewart and breakthrough performance male for both Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Slumdog Millionaire, on the other hand, has best movie nomination, breakthrough performance female for Freida Pinto and breakthrough performance male for Dev Patel.
All the nominations of 2009 MTV Movie Awards were chosen by the fans. The award giving body is also introducing two new categories namely best song from a movie and best WTF moment. The event is scheduled on May 31 which will be hosted by Andy Samberg of Saturday Night Live.
