It looks Tiger Woods is trying to do his best for his comeback thing.
The famous golfer told a few words about him missing the competition his detour from the public eye. He also talked about the feeling he had seeing his first tournament action.
"I have to say it felt great to return to competition at the Masters Tournament," Woods explained. "To actually contend in a major on the back nine Sunday and tie for fourth with very little preparation, with all that has transpired in my life, was pretty cool."
What about his wife Elin? Did he mention something about her?
Well, it looks there is really no mention of the issue. Elin did not accompany him to Augusta. She has not even been near Woods for weeks. We guess tiger had nothing to say about her, as he did not bring about it in his post.
What about Tiger's fans?
"I honestly didn't know what to expect from the fans, but they were absolutely incredible from Monday through Sunday. It was unreal," Tiger Woods added. "They definitely helped me mentally to be more comfortable out there. I was hoping for the best. To get that type of warmth is something I did not expect and will never forget."
There is one memory to stand out in particular: In the photo gallery, apart from including the golfer's mom and a few other people he knows, there is a little girl who hands him a letter on the third tee. There are no words on what the letter says. The surprising thing is that the sports image calls the little girl's gesture "awfully sweet."'
What about Tiger’s performance?
We could just say old habits die hard. There would be enough.
"I received some criticism for bad language, which I apologized for immediately after Saturday's round," Woods told.
"It's tough when you're in a competitive environment and in the flow of a tournament. I'm not perfect. All I can say is I'm trying to do everything I can without losing my fire and competitive spirit."
As a conclusion, Tiger is noting "I took a little time off after the Masters to go scuba diving and spend time with my family."
As we know Elin tried to stay away from her husband for the past few months, we cannot help wondering what part of family he is talking about.by FW Editor |
