On Monday in Beverly Hills, the officials of the Miss California USA pageant will finally declare whether first runner-up Carrie Prejean will be allowed to retain the pageant title or will it be stripped off her.
Two notable issues sparked the debate of disqualifying the present Miss California USA. Firstly, in April, Prejean had voiced against marriage between same sexes as an answer to a question she was asked on stage. Secondly, a number of photos of Prejean in lingerie were uploaded on internet. According to the pageant officials, this was a contract violation.
If Prejean is stripped off her title, it will be given to Tami Farrell, the runner-up behind her. Farrell will also be present in the media conference in Beverly Hills on Monday.
