Madonna makes new record for most earned tour

Pop diva Madonna has broken her new record on total income from a single world tour. "Sticky & Sweet", the tour which ended in Israel on September 02, 2009, earned $408 million. Madonna played at 85 events in front of 3.5 million people during this world tour.


Madonna's previous record was during the tour "Confessions" in 2006 when she played to 1.2 million people in 60 events which earned $194 million. But this time Madonna had targeted larger stadiums than the "Confessions" tour.


she had signed a deal with Live Nation two years ago which covered her recordings, merchandising and her tours.
