Lucinda Williams's luck may change

Lucinda Williams's luck may change

Friday, March 4 2011

Lucinda Williams who is married with Tom Overby doesn't think her luck will change if she found happiness.

"People buy into this myth that once you're quote happy unquote you just die as an artist. That's inane. It's ridiculous.

People have actually asked me, 'Well, will you still be able to write now that your life is happy?' That's a somewhat pedantic point of view, the myth that happiness can't be part of the backbone of creativity." Williams said.

Lucinda who will play 10 solos at Mercyhurst College revealed her acoustic tour came about by happenstance.

"It's unusual for me to play solo. It ended up being a real positive experience. Just for a change of pace. This is an experiment.

We had so much fun at that venue at Fayetteville, and there are so many other cool venues like that." she said.
