Lady GaGa tops Billboard Hot 100 twice
Lady GaGa tops Billboard Hot 100 twice

by Kaustav Das Modak

Lady GaGa has made an achievement which no other artist has achieved for about a decade. She has reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for singles for the second time with her two debut singles.

Her new track, "Poker Face", which has been sending ripples across the charts in the USA, reached the top of the chart by pulling down the track "Right Round" by Flo Rida from the first spot. Flo Rida had been at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts for constant six weeks with the track "Right Round".

Lady Gaga's previous chart-topper track was "Just Dance" from the album "The Fame". It had been at the top of the charts for three weeks.

The last time an artist had launched their career with a couple of Billboard Hot 100 topper tracks was almost 10 years ago. Christina Aguilera had made it last with her two tracks "Genie in a Bottle" in 1999 and, then, "What a Girl Wants" in 2000. Other women artists who had achieved this height in the last quarter century were Tiffany and Mariah Carey.
