Ian Somerhalder is celebrating his 33th birthday today, but The Vampire Diaries star doesn't want a hug, a card or even an iPhone 4 from fans.
Instead the actor would love fans to donate to IS Foundation, a charity that fights to protect the environment. IS Foundation did a remarkable job so far: it changed Canadian sled dog laws, delayed the Keystone XL Pipeline and banned shark fins in California.
"Everyone who has it within their hearts to support ISF deserves some respect and love, and the only way I know how to give a little of this to so very many is to try my very best to try to send each and everyone of you a personal email," Somerhalder says. "I want to reach out so I can thank you for your support and learn a little about you to discover how you fit into this remarkable family."by FW Editor |
