Green Day beginning tour from July 3

One of the most well-known punk rock bands, Green Day, will be starting a new tour from July 3. They dates were announced yesterday and the tour will begin from Seattle comprising of 38 shows across the continent. This will be first North American tour for Greenday after a span of over 3 years.


The band will play in the Canada and the United States of America beginning in the Midwest and moving clockwise to the East Coast and, then, to the southern locations.


The main aim of this summer tour will be to promote their new album, "21st Century Breakdown". It will be released on May 15 under the label of Reprise Records. To celebrate the release of their new album, Green Day will perform at the Bowery Ballroom, New York. The album has been produced by Butch Vig and is the follow-up to Green Day's previous chart-topping album "American Idiot" of 2004.
