With the help of Paul McCartney, Eric Idle and Tom Hanks, the former lead guitarist of the The Beatles George Harrison was honored with a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Witnessed by a thousand fans and onlookers, Harrison's star was made public with the presence of his widow Olivia and son Dhani. Olivia exclaimed, "He was a beautiful, mystical man living in a material world, and he was as funny as the day is long, and just as perplexing… George, this day is for you."
Hanks added, "All things must pass, sure. But George is going to live forever." Though former Beatles bandmate McCartney did not give any speech to the crowd, he was able to speak and even joke with Olivia and Dhani.
