Elisabeth Hasselbeck Shrugs Off Plagiarism Allegations

Thursday, June 25 2009

The View host Elisabeth Hasselbeck was involved in a controversy recently when Susan Hassett, the author of her self-published Living with Celiac Disease, claimed that Hasselbeck copied her book "word for word" as well as its format.

On Wednesday, the 32-year-old host felt relax while speaking about the incident on her show, "I just want to assure you the allegations are without merit and are being handled appropriately."

Besides, a statement was also released by Hasselbeck and the publication company that published her book The G Free Diet-A Gluten-Free Survival Guide saying, "There is no basis for the allegations in the Complaint as published in the press. Ms. Hasselbeck worked diligently and tirelessly on her book and is disappointed in this attempt to discredit her work and her ability to bring this important message to the public."
