Charlie Sheen's Premature Twins are Doing Great

Thursday, April 23 2009

by Joe Halls

Max and Bob, Charlie Sheen's premature twins are "doing great." The actor also said that the heart problem of one baby was just normal among premature kids. The twins, who are Sheen's sons with third wife Brooke Mueller, were born seven months premature last month.

One of the twins stayed in the hospital over three weeks due to weight problems and was only permitted to go home two weeks ago. "They were 7 weeks early so things were still developing. Max has something called ejection fracture," he said.

The actor added, "It's the volume at which the heart pumps and how much blood the heart can pump. There wasn't anything that any other premature child, especially a twin, doesn't normally go through. Things are gradually going toward normal."
