Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift were the runaway winners of the recently concluded 44th annual Academy of Country Music Awards. ACM’s entertainer of the year was given to Underwood, who was obviously blown away with the fan-voted award.
"I've had a lot of good moments over the past four years," she said. "This one takes the cake. ... I never thought I'd be nominated, and I never thought I'd win. I don't know what to say. I've got nothing!"
"It is my belief that country music makes the world a better place, and I'm so glad to be a part of country music," Underwood added. "I feel like I just won American Idol all over again."
Taylor Swift, on the other hand, won album of the year for Fearless, besting other contenders such as George Strait, along with Underwood, Johnson and Montgomery Gentry.
