Beyonce Pregnancy Breaks All Twitter Records

Saturday, September 3 2011

The announcement of Beyonce pregnant, with the absolute confirmation live by the singer herself, sent the entire Twitter Universe into frenzy at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.
During her MTV performance, Beyonce declared: "I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside of me!" and rubbed her belly on stage.
Minutes after, Twitter records were already broken. According to a rep for the social network website, an impressive 8,868 Tweets per second were sent regarding Beyonce's announcement. Before this, the highest number of Tweets per second was during the women's soccer World Cup, a few months ago, between Japan and America, during which an average 7,196 Tweets were posted per second.
