Betty White, the comedy actress who is 88 years old came to public attention again after she did an excellent job as the host of the famous show Saturday Night Live at an advanced age.

Now it seems that the producer Jerry Weintraub wants to use the recently gained popularity for the actress and distribute her in God's role in the remake of the comedy Oh, God! released in 1977.

We must say that the new version of the film is only in the early stages, several scenarios have emerged over the years, and last time Ellen DeGeneres was targeted to play the divinity role.

Besides Betty White, Weintraub viewfinder wants Paul Rudd in the role of Jerry Landers - the mortal that Almighty selects to spread his word in the modern world.

The original movie was directed by Carl Reiner, George Burns was cast as God
