Angelina Jolie Visited Turkey And Thousands Of Syrian Refugees

Tuesday, June 21 2011

Angelina Jolie, maybe one of the most powerful images of humanitarian campaigns, traveled to Turkey to visit a few thousands of Syrian refugees. This entire trip was part of her duties as an ambassador for the U. N. High Commissioner for Refugees.
UNHCR and Angelina Jolie will commemorate World Refugee day on June 20 and the organization and the famous actress are calling attention to the realities of war and terror and how these conflicts affect families from these troubled regions.
“Every day, thousands of people run from war, persecution and terror,” Jolie says. “Even one is too many. One family forced to flee is too many. One child growing up in a camp is too many. One refugee without hope is too many,” the beautiful actress concluded.
