Even if they are dead, for many of us their names will always remain alive. Stars like Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury or Michael Jackson marked history and we will always remember them.

Have passed a lot of years since their deaths, but even today their names are making money and are present on people's lips. They were controversial persons or simply role model, they made history.

Marilyn Monroe ( 1 June 1926- 5 August 1962)

Who doesn't remember the cinema star and the sex-symbol , Marilyn Monroe? Besides her beauty that marked the ’50, she had a great acting talent. In 1957 she was nominated for Golden Globe as best actress ( "Bus Stop"), and in 1960 got the Golden Globe for best actress for " Some Like It Hot".

Roles from movies like : "Niagara", "The Seven Year Itch", "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" or "Some Like It Hot" made her famous.

The tragic death at 36 years old have aroused controversy. There were rumours such as she had been killed for not disclosing secrets from Hollywood or that she has killed herself in her own residence in Los Angeles.

Even after 48 years after her disappearance, her death is still an enigma.

Freddie Mercury ( 5 September 1946- 24 November 1991)

Freddie Mercury was the leader of Queen band. Was known for his vocal and his live performances. His hits have made history and are listened even in this day: Killer Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody, Somebody to Love, We Are the Champions and Little Thing Called Love.

Two of Freddie's songs: "We Are the Champions" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" were considered the best songs ever.

Neither his personal life was avoided by critics ans controversy. Freddie was criticizes for not recognizing his sexual orientation.

The artist died at 45 years old of AIDS.


Elvis Presley (8 January 1935- 16 August 1977)

Elvis was a very known singer and American actor. He played in 33 success movies, and his music has break down all barriers. He was called " Rock n' Roll King" and today continue to be famous worldwide. Songs like "Heartbreak Hotel", "Jailhouse Rock" ," Love Me Tender" or "Suspicious Minds" have made furore in entire world.

On 16 August 1977, Elvis dies from a heart attack. He is the only artist, member of three societies: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (1986), CMA's Country Music Hall of Fame (1998) and GMA's Gospel Music Hall of Fame.


Michael Jackson (29 august 1958-25 iunie 2009)

Even if it's been only few months since his death, Michael Jackson will remain the Pop King and will mark history. In his entire career, the artist received 13 Grammy awards.

The album " Thriller" brought him the awards for Album of the Year and Best Pop vocal Performance.

He surprised the entire world in 1994 when he got married with the daughter of Rock 'n'Roll King, Lisa Marie Presley.

He was married twice and was the father of 3 children.

Was one of the few artists tha was included in "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame", had 13 singles No 1 in his solo career and he sold over 750 million units in entire world.
