| Jewel Has Advice for Injured Melissa Rycroft |

Several contestants of Dancing with the Stars have been injured during the rehearsal for their live performances. The most recent victim is no other than The Bachelor season thirteenth participant Melissa Rycroft.
Rycroft got a hairline fracture in her ribs after practicing her jive routines. Because of the incident, the judges, instead, graded her performance on their rehearsal footage.
On husband Ty Murray’s blog at MySpace, Jewel Kilcher, who backed out of the show due to a knee injury, wrote, "If you’re too hurt to compete then you can’t compete."
"I think the rule about 'judging a rehearsal if the person is too injured to perform' was weird both times they have used it." The singer further noted, "As bad as I felt for Melissa, who I hope feels better and comes back, I'm used to our cowboy athletes that live by the rule: 'ride hurt or don't get a score. It may seem harsh, but it seems like the only way to keep things honest."
