Following the premiere of her new Disney Channel movie Princess Protection Program which will be shown on June 26, the Wizards of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez crashed the prom of Etobicoke Collegiate Institute.
In the middle of the premiere party of her upcoming movie at Toronto's Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex, she strolled around the complex and when she knew that a prom was going on at Etobicoke, she kindly asked the security guard if she could witness the event. There she danced and enjoyed with a group of teenagers.
An onlooker said, "They were all dancing in a group and having fun. Selena was thrilled to see firsthand what a real prom is like and that her dress was much like the other girl's dresses."
She then returned to her premiere party and asked Demi Lovato and other friends to join her in the prom. The stars were asked to leave at 11 p.m. because they were not students of the institute. After which, Gomez wrote on Twitter, "PPP peeps and I crashed a prom tonight and danced with a highschool!! amazing!! I finally had prom!"
