Liam Neeson Proud of Being An American

Liam Neeson Proud of Being An American

Friday, August 28 2009

Liam Neeson recently said on Good Morning America that he and his children Michael, 14, and Daniel, 12, "are doing good" and are "taking each day as it comes."

After the sudden death of his wife Natasha Richardson in March due to a head injury that resulted from a skiing accident, "(We are) still getting extraordinary condolence letters from American people. That's deeply, deeply touching," the actor said.

Because of the concern and support that the Americans have shown their family, Neeson exclaimed, "(That) is partly the reason that I have recently become an American citizen… America has been very, very good to me. I am still a proud Irishman but I have become an American citizen, and am very proud of that."
