Tickets for London tour of Michael Jackson sold out in five hours

Friday, March 13 2009

Pop legend Michael Jackson announced a week ago that he will be perfoming in London in 10 concerts beginning on July 8, 2009. The number of concerts across the city was, later on, increased to 50, dragging the tour into February, 2010. The tickets for these shows were to be sold on Friday. But when the counters opened in the morning, the promoters sold out the entire stock of tickets within a staggering five hours!

A long queue of fans had assembled in front of the O2 Arena, where the concerts are to be held. Some of them have been standing in the queue from last night. It seems Jackson's fame had not decreased in the country even after his child-abuse trial of 2005.
