Victor Hugo was born on February 26, 1802 in Besancon, France and died on May 22, 1885. He was a magnificent poet, novelist, playwright and essayist.

Biography and Career :

His parents were Joseph Leopold Sigisbert Hugo, who was a high-ranking officer in Napoleon's army and Sophie Trebuchet and he has two brothers. Francois-Rene de Chateaubriand was the one who had an influence on him.
