Trajan Marcus Ulpius (AD 52-117) was adopted as heir by Nena, whom he succeeded in AD 98.
Short Biography:
He was a just and conscientious ruler, corresponded with Pliny about the Christians, and conquered Dacia (Romania) 101-107 and much of Parthia (modern North-Est Iran). Trajan's Column, Rome, commemorates his victories.
