Toshiki Kaifu (born in 1932) is a Japanese conservative politician, prime minister from 1989.

Short Biography:

A protege of former premier Takeo Miki, he was selected as a compromise choice as Liberal Democratic Party president and prime minister in August 1989, following the resignation of Sosuke Uno. Kaifu is Japan's first premier without World War II military experience.
