Tonantzin Carmelo was born in America of Mission Indian descendents. She is a well known actress.

Biography and Career :

As a child, she was a member of an American Indian dance troupe, which was led by her mother. She attended and graduated from UC Irvine. Tonantzin started her career in theatre and received roles as Anita in "Exmagare", Christina Khalo/Paula in "Frida Khalo" and multiple characters in "Malinche". Her first role in a movie was in "Street Kings".
