Stephen Butler Leacock (1869-1944) was a Canadian humorist, whose writings include Literary Lapses in 1910, Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town in 1912, and Frenzied Fiction in 1918.

Short Biography:

Born in Hampshire, he lived in Canada from 1876, and was head of the department of economics at McGill University, Montreal, (1908-1936). He published works on politics and economics, and studies of Mark Twain and Charles Dickens.
