Stafford Richard Cripps (1889-1952) was a British Labour politician, expelled from the Labour party 1939-1945 for supporting a 'Popular Front' against Chamberlain's appeasement policy.
He was ambassador to Moscow 1940-1942, minister of aircraft production 1942-1945, and chancellor of the Exchequer 1947-1950.
