Pierre Joseph Proudhon (1809-1865) sat in the Constituent Assembly of 1848, was imprisoned for three years, and had to go into exile in Brussels.

Short Biography:

He published Qu'est-ce que la propriiti/What is Property? in 1840 and Philosophic de la misere/Philosophy of Poverty in 1846. His most noted saying is "property is theft".
