Peter Carl Faberge (1846-1920) was a Russian goldsmith and jeweller.

Short Biography:

His workshops in St. Petersburg and Moscow were celebrated for the exquisite delicacy of their products, especially the use of gold in various shades.

Among his masterpieces was a series of jewelled Easter eggs, the first of which was commissioned by Alexander II for the tsarina in 1884.

Faberge died in exile in Switzerland.
