Muhammad Ali Jinnah (1876-1948) was an Indian politician, Pakistan's first governor general from 1947.

Short Biography:

He became president of the Muslim League in 1916 and from 1934 he was elected annually as president.

He advised the UK government on the need for a separate state of Pakistan in 1942, and at the 1946 conferences in London he insisted on the partition of British India into Hindu and Muslim states.
