Maurice Chevalier (1888-1972) was a French singer and actor.

Short Biography:

He began as dancing partner to the revue artiste Mistinguett at the Folies-Bergere music-hall, and made numerous films including "Innocents of Paris" in 1929, which revived his song "Louise", "The Merry Widow" in 1934, and "Gigi" in 1958.
