Mathilda May was born on 8 February 1965. She is a French film actress.

Biography and Career

Mathilda May was born as Karima Mathilda Haïm, in Paris. She is a daughter of playwright Victor Haim, who is of Greek and Turkish descent whereas her mother is Swedish ballet teacher and choreographer Margareta Haim.
At the age of sixteen Mathilda May won the First Prize of the Paris Dance Conservatory. Later in 1989, she also won the Prix Romy Schneider.
