Magda Carneci - poet. Also essayist, art critic and historian. Before 1989 she signed with the pseudonym Magdalena Ghica. Born on December 28th 1955 in the village Gîrleni (Bacau), she is the daughter of Radu Carneci, poet and translator, and of Emilia (née Romaniuc), an engineer.
