Luigi Pirandello (1867-1936) was a Italian writer.

Short Biography:

The novel fu Mama Pascal/The Late Mania Pascal in 1904 was highly acclaimed, along with many short stories. His plays include La Morsa/The Vice in 1912, Set personaggi in cerca d'autore/Six Characters in Search of an Author in 1921, and Enrico TV/Henry TV in 1922- The theme and treatment of his plays anticipated the work of Brecht, O'Neill, Anouilh, and Genet. He won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1934.
