Lili Damita (born Liliane Marie-Madeleine Carre) was born in Blaye, Gironde, Aquitaine, France on July 10, 1904 and died on March 21, 1994. She is known as being a French actress who had appeared in 33 movies within 15 years.

In her early life she studied ballet in several European countries and at the age of 14 she enrolled in the Opera of Paris as a dancer. She performed as a photographic model and after she won a beauty contest she was luckily and appeared in the beginning in silent films. read more...
