Leonard Cohen was born on September 21, 1934, in Westmount, Quebec. While he was studying at the McGill University, his first book on poetry, named Let Us Compare Mythologies, was released in 1956. After that, the publishing of his second book, The Spice-Box of Earth, in 1961 made him known as a figure of repute among well-known personalities in literature.
