Biography and Career:

Tierney was born in the picturesque city of Brooklyn in New York. He attended Boys High School in the locality and he was a good athlete there. He got a scholarship for his athletic excellence to Manhattan College. But he did not finish the course and worked as a laborer for two years in the New York City.
