Kevin Michael Costner (born on January 18, 1955) is an American film actor.

Short Biography:

He emerged as a star in the late 1980s, with his role as law-enforcer Elliot Ness in "The Untouchables" released in 1987.

Increasingly identified with the embodiment of idealism and high principle, Costner went on to direct and star in "Dances with Wolves" in 1990, a Western sympathetic to the native American Indians, which won several Academy Awards.
