Charles Joseph Clark (born in 1939) was a Canadian Progressive Conservative politician, born in Alberta.

Short Biography:

He became party leader in 1976, and in May 1979 defeated Trudeau at the polls to become the youngest prime minister in Canada's history.

Following the rejection of his government's budget, he was defeated in a second election in February 1980.

He became Secretary of State for External Affairs (foreign minister) in the Mulroney government from 1984.
