James Stuart, Earl of Murray (1531-1570) was a Regent of Scotland from 1567, an illegitimate son of James V.
Short Biography:
Murray was one of the leaders of the Scottish Reformation, and after the deposition of his half-sister Mary Queen of Scots, he became regent. He was assassinated by one of her supporters.
