James Byron Dean (1931-1955) was an American actor.

Short Biography:

Killed in a road accident after only his first film, East of Eden in 1955, had been shown, he posthumously became a cult hero with Rebel Without a Cause and Giant, both in 1956.

He became a symbol of teenage rebellion against American middle-class values.
