Jake Gyllenhaal (full name Jacob Benjamin Gyllenhaal) was born on December 19, 1980, in Los Angeles. His sister is Maggie Gyllenhaal and his mother was a screenwriter and his father a director.
Jake's acting career began with the movie, City Slickers (1991).Some of his next movies, like A Dangerous Woman (1993) and Homegrown (1998), were directed his father. He passed from the Columbia University in the meantime.
