Jacques Chirac (born in 1932) is a French conservative politician, prime minister 1974-1976 and 1986-1988.

Short Biography:

He established the neo-Gaullist Rassemblement pour la Republique (RPR) in 1976, and became mayor of Paris in 1977.

Chirac held ministerial posts during the Pompidou presidency and gained the nickname 'the Bulldozer'.
