Ion Bogdan Lefter - poet, literary critic and historian, essayist. Also prose writer and political analyst.

Born on March 11th 1957 in Bucharest, he is the son of Virgil and Cecilia Lefter, both engineers. After graduating from “Nicolae Balcescu” secondary school (nowadays “Sf. Sava” National College) in Bucharest (1976), he attended the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature (English-Romanian) at the University of Bucharest, which he graduated in 1981.
