Guido Reni (1575-1642) was active in Bologna and Rome (about 1600-1614), whose work includes the fresco Phoebus and the Hours Preceded by Aurora in 1613 (Casino Rospigliosi, Rome).
His successful workshop in Bologna produced numerous idealized religious images, including Madonnas.
