Assumed name of Greek poet-diplomat Georgios Sefenades (1900-1971) was an ambassador to Lebanon 1953-1957 and then to the UK 1957-1962, he did much to help resolve the Cyprus crisis.

He published his first volume of lyrics in 1931 and his Collected Poems in 1950. He won the Nobel prize in 1963.
