Biography and Career

Gia Scala was born as Giovanna Scoglio in Liverpool, England. She was a daughter of an aristocratic Sicilian father, Pietro Scoglio, and an Irish mother, Eileen Sullivan. She spent her early life in Rome, Italy. Later her family moved to the United States when she was just fourteen. Gia graduated from Bayside High School in Queens, New York.
