Gerard Terborch (1617-1681) was a Dutch painter of small-scale portraits and genre (everyday) scenes, mainly of soldiers at rest or wealthy families in their homes.

He travelled widely in Europe. The Peace of Munster in 1648 (National Gallery, London) is an official group portrait.
